The 425 Company is owned and managed by its' two directors John Spiller and Jane Croot. The company has available associate consultants to cover areas where more detailed expertise is required than that available in house. All consultancy staff are of degree level and above and are experienced in working in their relevant disciplines.

John Spiller BSc John has spent all his working life in high tech engineering. Since leaving Imperial College, London with a degree in electrical engineering he worked first at Plessey and then with Marconi Space and Defence Systems and its successor companies. He left EADS Astrium to set up The 425 Company. Over the years he has worked on many projects in the aerospace field and particularly on satellites, including fixed and mobile communications, astronomical and earth observation and a planetary probe. He is now involved in developing the new business in Europe of satellite navigation. Initially this started with the development of the Navigation System for INMARSAT 3 and continued with the development of the EGNOS Augmentation System. He helped bring together European Industry to persuade governments to start work on Galileo. He took part in most of the early studies which defined the Galileo system and the Galileo organisational structures. Since its adoption he has supported Galileo in several different roles.

Jane Croot MSc (Oxon) BA Jane is a professional economist with degrees from the Universities of Oxford and Durham. She started her career as the economist at the Institute for Manufacturing & Industry before moving to Experian Business Strategies where she was a Managing Consultant specialising in regional economics and construction. She is now a Director at The 425 Company. Jane's expertise is in economic and business analysis, including economic and social development and strategy, economic research, sector and market studies, business cases and survey analysis.
